After a week of wet, cool and cloudy weather, we woke to sunshine on Saturday morning. And again this morning. It's wonderful to see the sun and to know that some of the moisture will evaporate or soak into the ground. The fields are still very wet. This past week I received news that Anna Friesen, wife to Peter Friesen from Lott, Texas, is very sick. Anyone wanting to read an update on their blog site, just go to

Peter and Anna have been and still are, a wonderful support to me and the Low German Radio Ministry. Mrs. Friesen is very weak and the family is staying by her side. Let's be in prayer for them.

On a different note, remember that a Low German evening is being planned for the 20th of May at the PW Enns Concert Hall in Winkler. Program starts at 7:30 p.m.. Henry Zacharias, Mary Zacharias, along with Hank and Anne Neufeld will sing in Low German, and I'll try and say a few words during the course of the evening. Everyone welcome.

Tune in for news from different places, along with interviews from Mexico, Bolivia, Paraguay and Ontario. In the reflection portion I continue with "love in all relationships" and explore whether the apostles followed Christ's example. And the humor has a birthday song, along with a few of your stories for fun. Enjoy the show.

News and interviews, updates from different places where low german speaking people live. My reflection takes a break this week from the study about Mennonites and it just so happened that I came across a few articles which dealt with positive attitudes and optimism. So I worked those together for this weeks toom aewa nodenkjen. And finally we get to Fritz and Franz and a few of their shenanigans again. They always seem to be having fun, one way or another. And good taste of music. ha ha ha.

Easter Holidays have come and gone and with many people at Family gatherings, it was a bit of a challenge to get in touch with the people for news items from their colonies. I've got different news items from newspapers and such, hoping that I'll get a few more calls during the next week. I finish up the thought in my "toom aewa nodenkjen" about love in all relationships, and studying what Jesus did. Next we'll be looking at how the apostles showed love to others.

And of course there is a section for Fritz and Franz. Some of the fan mail and fan phone calls are hard to understand and not always easy to figure out where the story is going and what the punch line is. So sometimes I just can't use their stories. However, I have a few today that worked out pretty good. I hope you enjoy them, along with the music I've picked for this weeks program. A Happy Birthday song, a low german song for the reflection and a fun song called "Rack aun". Enjoy!!!
